Operating Principle
The rotating weeder from Christiaens can only be used behind the tractor and only between the rows. This machine is often used in combination with a front hoe that hoes within the row.
These machines are specifically used for crops with narrower upright leaves such as leek, spring onion and maize. Minimum distance between the rows with this machine is 50 cm. The elements are connected in a closed hydraulic system.
- 2 Rows 3 elements
- Designed to weed between the plants in the direction of the rows.
- A driven axle with vibrating/bouncy pins (tines) runs through the soil to pull out weeds before the crop canopy closes.
- Damage to crop rows is minimal due to the flexibility of the tine system.
- Row Distance: Adjustable from 50 cm
- Drive: Hydraulically from tractor hydraulics
- Capacity / Working Speed: Depends on number of elements and soil conditions (~6 km/h )
